Aerie Blanket Scarf Review - Buff and Holiday Red

Saturday, February 21, 2015

It has seriously been FREEZING over here and decided it was finally time to do something about it... and the perfect solution were these blanket scarves!! Aerie was having a sale and they were $10 a piece! I ordered 4 and got a $10 off $40 coupon, so they were only $7.50 each! I returned the other ones and decided to keep the one in Buff, and gave the Holiday Red one to my roommate.

They're super huge and soft and oh so warm. They're also really versatile and can be worn in a gazillion ways so YAY!

For my outfit, I wore the scarf as a shawl and paired it with complimenting colors found in the scarf and decided to roll with that

red crop top - keds (macy's)
cream cardigan - forever21 $12
fleece joggers - urban outfitters $6
brown riding boots (not pictured) sorry!

They're not on sale anymore, but definitely check them out or other places for blanket scarves! Stay warm lovelies xx

January Haulin' : Shoes + Bags + Accessories

Sunday, January 11, 2015

(Enzio Angiolini) Ellerby $69
(Sam Edelman) Loren $90

My two new beautiful babies :')
These are my first two pairs of riding boots and I am absolutely IN LOVE. I have pretty small calves/skinny legs and these fit perfect. On the left is walnut brown pair that I got at the clearance section at Nordstrom rack. On the right is a tan pair that I ordered online on Amazon and they were a steal! This pair features a 2inch heel and the leather on these is so nice and soft and supple. I'm afraid of wearing them because the leather is easily scratched, but I know I can't just admire them in my closet for forever haha.
Also, I got a $10 rebate from my amazon purchase through Ebates - which I HIGHLY recommend if you are a frequent online shopper. You can sign up through my link here. It's super quick and easy and FREE to sign up and you get a free $10 giftcard when you do! For each of your online orders, you get a percentage back, and they send you a check at the end of each period. Honestly, nothing to lose, and if you decide not to use it, you'll still get that giftcard!

From American Eagle, I got these gold dorsay flats for $15! They'll class up any outfit and I can't wait to start wearing them when the weather warms up.

              Kate Spade Red Travel Bag
           Kate Spade Red Travel Bag

At Marshalls, they were having a hugeee clearance sale, with already reduced red tag items reduced even MORE with yellow tags. I decided to pick up this Kate Spade packable travel duffel bag. It's selling online for $100-$150, and it was marked down from $100 to only $50! I needed a duffel bag for the longest time and this is perfect. The hardware and leather detailings are perfect and it's just super cute and roomy.

At TJMaxx, I got this backpack (Adrienne Vitadinni) for only $30! It's really expensive looking and it's meant to be used for travel (hence the luggage tag) but I'm planning on just using it for school. The inside is lined with a bright red lining and the gold hardware is super elegant.

At Century21, I got the Stacy wallet from Kate Spade!! It wasn't on clearance, but it was a pretty good deal for $50. The patterns and colors are simple and cute. Little details like the tan lining and the bow zipper add a special touch to the wallet. The pattern kind of reminds me of little lemons haha. The card and money slots are a bit tight though, but hopefully they'll loosen up within time. Also, with the card slots completely filled up, it does get a little bulky. But this wallet was the perfect size and had a lot of slots which I liked, and the zipper compartment on the back is perfect for my spare change~

I was shopping around Soho with a friend and decided to pop into Topshop, even though I wasn't expecting much. They're sale section was CRAZY though. I didn't look too much into the clothes, but the jewelry section was amazing. Everything was 75% off, along wtih BOGO!! I was on the lookout for statement necklaces for a while and decided to pick these 2 up. Both were originally $30 each, but I got them both for $7.50! I honestly couldn't believe it - even cheaper than stuff you would find at Forever21.
The first one I chose was this super bold jeweled statement piece. I loved the colors and the shapes, and it wasn't not too big and tacky like most statement necklaces.
The second one I picked was a beautiful floral choker. The little rhinestone flowers have crystals dangling from the bottom and it's going to be perfect for the spring.

And that concludes my haul! This time around the year (mid January) is probably the BEST time to shop because stores are trying to clear their inventory for the upcoming items for the next season. Pretty much every store is having a sale so be on the look out :)

Monday, January 5, 2015
Hello Lovelies!
It's that time of the year again... sales on sales on sales. New Year New Clothes am I right?
Urban Outfitters was recently having their usual extra 50% off sale items. If you live nearby Queens Center Mall, the Urban Outfitters there is actually CLOSING sometime this month. They have TONS of racks of sale items and instead of 50% it's 70%!! And the sale is going on until they close. Everything there is SO FREAKIN' CHEAP.  I went through all the racks and literally shopped til I dropped. And now I present to you, probably one of the best hauls I've ever had. Enjoy ;)

They're high waisted and lightweight, perfect for the summer. The pom pom trimming is super cute too!

Ecote Batwing Romper - $1.50
A really unique piece that I found. At first I thought it was just a huge shirt, but it turned out to be a romper! It's perfect for lounging around now I'll have an excuse not to put on pants haha
It has a scooped back and it's made out of this SUPER soft modal
(Also, I think the cashier made a mistake with the price of this.. but who am I to complain? SCORE!)

Ecote romper - $3

This supersoft seafoam green romper has a crotchet trimming with a t-back. It's really breezy, perfect for those hot summer days

Ecote Mixed Stitch Eyelash Beret - $2

BDG Super High Rise Pinup Short - $6

Perfect fitting high waisted black shorts. Every girl needs a pair of shorts like these

Cooperative Jessica Modern Dress - $12

Most expensive of the haul, but I loved the way it fit on me. The model photo doesn't do it justice, she kinda looks like the hamburgular.. haha

Pins + Needles Embroidered T Strap Tank - $3
Features a really intricate lace mesh. A really basic piece with a classy twist.

Concrete Jungle + mini Uniqlo haul

Thursday, July 31, 2014

After getting our takeout from the Thai place, Mo took me across the street to this really serene seating area with this freaking waterfall at the end!! It's pretty loud but it is literally the perfect place to chill/eat/read. It's around 51st st/Lexington and there are a bunch of cool looking restaurants around the area too.

After a little shopping at Uniqlo, we went to FAO Scharwz and fooled around in there. There are so many useless cool toys to look at in there and it's almost like a museum. You can also play in the big piano upstairs!! And this is ma outfit for the night, taken at the fountain right outside by the Apple store.

swing tank top - $1 h&m (wrapp coupon!)
crazy pants - $10 pacsun
gladiator sandals - $5 random mall store
backpack - $25 forever21

And here is my mini haul from the 5th ave Uniqlo! I was never really into Uniqlo back in high school, but I LOVE their clothes now. I think it was a bit too mature for me back then, but now I'm getting really into basics and more classic pieces that will stay in my wardrobe for a while. Also, their sales are AMAZING. On top of that, my boyfriend gets a 30% employee discount which he loves sharing with me heheh
I got a baby blue pair of cropped legging pants, originally $20, for $6!! Freaking insane. Along with the 30% off it came out to around $4. The material is super soft and it'll be perfect for the summer.

I also got this taupe 100% silk blouse, originally $50 for $13, with the discount it became $9. NINE. And this blouse fits beautifully, the material just sits on my skin effortlessly and it looks SO GOOD. And even without the employee discount they're still such a great freakin' deal.

YES. GET ON THIS STUFF RIGHT NOW.
